CSC Black Box Theater is a 30 x 40 inch painting located at Chadron State College in Memorial Hall on the second floor opposite of room 234. This painting depicts a floor level stage with the audience surrounding the actors in center stage with a purple background.

Towater grew up in Scottsbluff Nebraska where she attended school up through Junior College. While attending Junior College she met her husband at the Scottsbluff air-force base. After her husband was discharged from service they returned to Scottsbluff Nebraska where they farmed on family land. Towater loved to paint events like sporting events and operas. Most of her paintings have been given as gifts or donations. She attended Scottsbluff Schools up to Junior College.
