Ashland 59 is a 38 x 84 inch 2D monotype/relief located at Chadron State College in the first floor hallway of Miller Hall. This 2D monotype/relief depicts "slash" like marks made with different colors of red, black, and patterns on a piece of glass.

Majeski received his BFA in 1960 from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and his MFA from the University of Iowa in 1963. He was a member of the Art and Art History faculty at the University of Nebraska at Omaha for over 35 years and he has served as a Regents Professor and Chairman of the Department for nine years. Majeski has been a Professor Emeritus of Art and Art History since 1999.
