Miriam McClung's art and faith often come together in unplanned ways--a visit to the local playground reminds her of Christ's humble birth; streets and villages in Birmingham become the backdrop for Jesus' journey to the cross, or a hill overlooking Samford university becomes the setting of Satan's temptation of Christ. Wherever Miriam finds herself, she paints and expresses the intersection of her faith and everyday life as she encounters the stories in the Scriptures and their profound meaning.
Opening reception and artist presentation will be September 18, 5:30-7:00 pm.
