...Between Faith and Science,
He wanted to surprise his wife with a painting that gathered all the books and memories that she went through, while studying a Masters Degree in Religion and Science, in Rome.
She is a scientist trying to make her two passions coexist, and she was successful. I was thrilled by the challenge. Not only by the amazing theme, but specially because some of the books are not physically present anywhere.
I had to go into the British Museum online archives to find the most amazing book, written by Saint Albertus Magnus. A book that has not been translated from Latin. I decided to include those beautiful stained pages from the manuscript, his own handwriting, as the background of knowledge and truth.
Between those words, I incorporated the last sentence in her thesis: " ...meanwhile, let the wind caress our skin and enjoy silence because, within them is also the presence of GOD"
The painting also represents the three countries in which they have lived with their children, Mexico, Netherlands and Portugal.
I have been silent for a while because it was a surprise and I had to wait to be able to share it with you.
Now, I am entering a new path in my art and I hope you keep me company through my journey...
