"Mysterious Past" was done in soft pastels, only using Terry Ludwig handmade pastels. I was demonstrating at the IAPS (International Assoc. of Pastel Societies) Convention in Albuquerque NM during the Vendor Market for Terry Ludwig Pastels and Ampersand Pastelbords. The scene is from a location near Blue Ridge GA where now sits a golf and fishing resort. They allowed me to come onto the property while they were in the beginning of construction to paint and photograph all the old farm and the Toccoa River. This barn is not longer there and I am so glad I photographed it many times, and also painted it plein air. It has been the subject of quite a number of paintings.
