Ethel Fisher

Peacock Fan, 1998-1999

Oil on canvas

68 x 51 in

Interior view looking across Pacific Palisades towards Santa Monica with sunlight pouring in from the left, a fire in the Palisades. The arch at the left is a repainting of a painting of a patio arch below the artist's studio. The artist renders the image as still life, interior, and landscape, with themes seen throughout the artist's later production .
