The high contrast of black and white is a great way to do this and adding a touch of gold can take it up a notch. "Rush" was inspired by a small back trail waterfall at Waimea Canyon in Kauai. I loved the contrast that existed between areas that were typical Hawaii lushness and the raw, harshness of the canyon. This inspired me to create this piece in black and white.
