Weathered by the Storm emerged during a period when I was looking closely at Richard Diebenkorn and Willem de Kooning, discovering how abstraction could hold both structure and atmosphere. Through layered surfaces and shifting passages of color, I began to understand how pink and orange could sing together. The painting became a place of exploration, where gesture, texture, and color opened new possibilities in the work.
