This picture, and the one entitled "Grab that Horse," were taken as photographs within the same event, in 1990. Then, using newer technologies, this photograph was enhanced and "transformed" in 2024.

This illustrates how photo-liminalism, itself, is changing, as new technologies emerge. But perhaps equally important, it also illustrates problems with assigning "dates" to finished digital images. I would date this image as 2024, because that is when it was rendered, in the form shown. Another possibility is to assign multiple dates, such as an "original conception date" and a subsequent "re-mastered" date. These are issues that need discussion as computer technology increasingly changes what we are able to do with original images.
