Lesley Turner, 'Section, Township, Range', 2013, 24" x 12", wool, cotton. silk, linen, alpaca, hemp. Europeans divided up the prairies with an imposed grid deciding ownership limits. Even when ownership and land use changes over time the original grid is still visible as a cultural imprint on the landscape.
