In my painting, "Solar Rose", the mandala is made of clear quartz, pyrite crystals, labradorite crystals, mirrors, and resin. The emanations of the radiant pattern create the expression of sunlight. I use a lot of gold paint to express this sunlight energy and painting outside in the Hawaii sunlight adds the actual vibration of the solar light.
