Chavis Mármol moves fluidly between sculpture, installation, and material archaeology. Through everyday objects, vernacular architectures, and gestures that evoke a shared memory, his work constructs narratives in which the domestic, the ritual, and the urban intertwine—revealing affect, violence, desire, and survival.

He holds both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Visual Arts from public institutions in Mexico, and is currently a member of the National System of Art Creators (2022). His trajectory reflects a sustained presence within key spaces of the national and international contemporary art scene.

He has presented solo exhibitions at spaces such as Guadalajara 90210, Casa Wabi, Galería Nasal, Ventana Project (Berlin), and the Museo de Arte Popular. His work has also been featured in art fairs including ZsONAMACO, Material, MACO, and in projects across New York, Los Angeles, Puerto Rico, Berlin, and Madrid.

Recent group exhibitions include presentations at Museo Jumex, Fundación Juan March (Madrid and Palma de Mallorca), Salón ACME, JO-HS (New York), LANAO, Los14, and multiple collaborations with artists such as Minerva Cuevas and Naufus Ramírez Figueroa at institutions like Times Art Center (Berlin), Galerie Sies + Höke (Düsseldorf), MUAC–UNAM, and Museo del Chopo.
His work has been featured in publications such as La Tempestad, Proceso, La Domadora, and various institutional catalogues. He has also taught courses, diplomas, and seminars at institutions including Museo Jumex, UNAM, and alternative education and cultural production programs.
