A ring-sling to be, ready for later conversion into a shawl.

Covetous little metaphorical robins on a bramble vine based on an illustration from the Byzantine manuscript Vienna Dioscorides (c. 512 AD). Therefore either drawn by somebody who saw bramble and tried to highlight its most important parts, or somebody who was explained what bramble looks like.
The robins are adapted from photographs.

Inlay (leaves), brocaded inlay (berries), clasped weft with pattern change and tapestry-like blending (birds), ornamental hemstitching and ladders, embroidery.
Two warps threaded in paralel +2, own modification of Handweaving 8870 draft.
Natural dyes and naturally coloured silks except for the black on the robin's eye.
Woven on six shafts of an 8-shaft floor loom.
