Shedding for Life
Pigmented ink, impasto and Indian ink on 300gsm Artistico Fabriano paper

“Layered on the base of the gum, strips of bark bring attention to the new era about to begin. I am once again reminded of how magnificent these trees are. Each year as they grow, they shed their bark to grow into their next phase, strengthening their fortitude as they go.”

Created by hand, each work on paper has evolved using professional grade artist mediums and papers. Elements are portrayed through exploration of varying techniques, all the while threaded together by a love of drawing. Various discoveries are highlighted through delicate organic lines, or expressed through bold dramatic marks.
