Summer Days is a cheerful collage painting that reminds me of hot summer days. This painting brings back memories of sailing on the lake and eating drippy red, white, and blue “rocket” popsicles. It is a jaunty painting that evokes the carefree days of summer from my childhood.

Patterns and textures are all around us. The crisp linen of sundresses and the gritty feel of beach sand between the toes. The stars and stripes of the American flag, and the faded blue color of denim cutoffs. The patriot color palette holds the elements together as their contrast of shapes and textures adds interest in every stripe.
