BLOWN AWAY
Strolling through a forest,
Face caressed with floating amber,
Surrounded above and underfoot,
By golden sienna and crimson,
Suspended within the majesty of nature's palette,
Truly blows my mind.

"Blown Away" is my effervescent heart to Trumpet and Trombone musicians everywhere. Thank you.
Artists Statement:
Soaked in the sounds of Louis Armstrong; encountering musicians in flow; absorbing the gaiety of Disneyland's buskers; transports my Soul. Growing up in a house of Trumpeters, chins folded against pulsating necks, my father and my eldest brother, Erik Peers, would stand and announce their breath. I loved this sound. "Blown Away" is my effervescent heart to Trumpet and Trombone musicians everywhere. Thank you.
When I immigrated to Canada in 1998 I would often say, "Canadians live in heaven and they don't even know it!" I felt so blessed to live here. Embracing a second life in a new land is not without its tears, but through our tears we strive for growth. We reach out and in reaching out, our mentors come. I am thankful to Trombone musician Tom Walker who owns Bandstand Ventures in Maple Ridge, for his insightful directions to guide me to progress boldly with my concept: The gift of compassion to Americans, born of prayer, "Release of Souls," a September 11, 2001, tribute of honour, healing art, sculpture, and music.
