These paintings are a reflection of my spirit. I rarely start with a plan; instead, I let my current emotions and environment dictate the canvas. It is a process of experimentation and freedom. I simply trust the creative journey and see exactly where it takes me. 

My garden is one of my happy places.   For me, the flowers, shrubs and trees are all about strength, peace, and tranquility. Spending time outside digging in the dirt helps me clear my head and leads to having the resilience and courage I need to keep chasing my dreams.

I began traveling at an early age alongside my younger sister. Today, as a seasoned soul, my husband and I are able to travel often.  While the places we visit are not always exotic or far away, I always find beauty in new surroundings and turn that experience into creative inspiration for my paintings.

I was born in San Diego and my Dad was in the Navy.  I spent all my life living close to water.  Here in the Puget Sound area of Washington State we have extraordinary lakes, rivers, the sound and are only a few hours to the Pacific Ocean.  My travels often take me to a new tropical or beach location.  For much of my later life I was lucky enough to have some means of getting out on the water.  Being on the water is a very peaceful and relaxing place for me and inspires a lot of my work.
