“Freedom”
There are seasons when the storm seems to surround us. the way forward becomes difficult to see and we find ourselves holding tightly to what feels familiar because we are afraid to let go.
But beyond the darkness, there is light.
This painting represents the moment we choose to break away from the storm and move toward the hope God has placed before us. The small boat is leaving the darkness behind, not because the waters have suddenly become easy, but because there is finally a new direction-a light worth following.
For me, that light represents Gods presence and His promise. The world offers many things that appear to give us security, peace, or freedom, but true freedom isn’t found in our circumstances. It isn’t found in having all the answers or knowing exactly what lies ahead.
True freedom is found in God.
Sometimes faith means releasing what has held us in the storm and trusting God enough to sail toward a light we cannot fully understand yet.
The storm may still be behind us. The journey may still be ahead of us. But when God becomes our source, we no longer have to be bound by fear. There is hope beyond the storm. There is freedom in surrender. And there is always new light when we allow God to lead us forward.
“Where the spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.”
2 Corinthians 3:17
