Few birds command space like an albatross. Its wings are built for distance, not decoration. Designed to travel thousands of kilometres with barely a movement.
In this composition, I allowed the wings to extend beyond the frame. Cropping them was deliberate. I wanted their scale to be felt rather than simply observed, so the bird could not be mistaken for something smaller, more ordinary.
The sea behind is abstracted into shifting blues, echoing the vastness of open water. Out here, there are no boundaries. Only wind, horizon, and endurance.
For me, Ocean Wanderer is about scale and solitude. About the kind of freedom that exists far from shore. It speaks to resilience, to movement, and to the quiet confidence of something built for the long journey.
