Inspiration is boundless where I live, and can show up anywhere, anytime! One just has to be on the lookout for interesting things and be open to capturing those fleeting moments in nature, no matter how mundane they may seem at first. This little vignette was spotted in my front yard during a spring warm spell in March. There was a short window of time in the morning light when the frost sparkled like jewels. Judiciously adding those tiny sparkles once the painting was close to complete was the icing on the cake for this painting.
