Canna Fallopia Tumbling Block Quilt

Paper base with hand-cut leaves applied [Canna indica and Fallopia japonica ‘Variegata’]

7 x 4.5 in (17.78 x 11.43 cm)

The quilt design is inspired by a traditional tumbling block pattern. The Fallopia leaves were selected for their range of color emphasis and resemblance to marble. The Canna leaves were selected to contrast the patterning of the Fallopia leaves and to add dimension the blocks.
