Ancient Rings 107
Four large forms move around the vessel, each revealing a different presence as the piece turns. They suggest marks or messages—something almost readable, yet never resolved into a known language.
Around them, thousands of smaller pieces establish a repeating rhythm. They are not simply a background. They hold the larger forms, steadying them while the composition moves from one voice to another.
I began with a sense of direction, but much of what appears here emerged through the making. Patterns developed, forms began to answer one another, and the vessel gradually found its own language.
Ancient Rings 107 exists somewhere between artifact and invention: a vessel carrying messages whose meaning changes each time it is turned.
