As a child, I admired the wide brims, colorful fabrics, delicate feathers, and sparkling accents that transformed each woman into a vision of beauty. Those memories remain woven into my heart, reminding me of a time when preparing for worship was a joyful celebration. This quilt is a tribute to those remarkable women whose hats crowned both their style and their unwavering faith. Aisha Lumumba developed the pattern and challenged the artist to take artistic license and make it their very own.
