A Garden Lost in Time was inspired by Gustav Klimt's gardens, is created using found objects along with papers creating a narrative of art lost in a garden, time being central to the art. Time slips away as we enjoy a garden of beauty and heirloom blooms. My creative process begins with using various inks and salt paints on various types of papers to create a rich color pallet. Created first on paper, elements are added using scrape papers and found objects such as circuit boards, maps, and dictionary pages to create the initial design. The piece is sewn with different threads to add texture. Once mounted on art board additional elements are then added creating a finished piece with hidden objects all adding to the fun and the finished piece.
