Looking across Beauly Firth towards Inverness on a cold winter afternoon from Fettes Farm. Is it the Black Isle’s mystical history colouring my view, perhaps, or the moist air rising from the ever-changing Beauly Firth…or a bit of both? This was a lovely rural winter scene I just HAD to attempt to capture! Sketches were done outdoors in the invigorating cold air, but the actual painting was done in the comfort of my Idaho studio!
