Laura Seldman

As a photo historian, Seldman records timeless and familiar scenes of collective memory. These photographs explore history with evocative imagery. This approach allows the viewer to feel present in the remembered past.

Seldman documents American visual classics found in home towns and along country roads and waterways. Weighted with focus and respect, they fill the landscape with the content and context of living history; illuminating the stories that connect the past and the present.

Appointed photo historian of the Historical Society of the Town of Chester, Seldman coauthored The Underground Railroad in the Adirondack Town of Chester in late 2016.

When acquiring new art, Hudson Headwaters seeks pieces that contribute to the ongoing creative culture of our community. Local and regional artists are always given first consideration.

Hudson Headwaters Health Network is granted medical malpractice liability protection through the Federal Tort Claims Act (FTCA) and are considered Federal employees with the Federal government acting as their primary insurer.
