Song attended the University of Pennsylvania Law School were he obtained his J.D and later went on to become a nationally recognized lawyer in his field. During his time in university, he was a studio painter and received personal mentorship from American artist William Ivey.
After a rare medical condition, Song experienced profound experiences in consciousness and energy, shifting him back to his lifelong love of painting. He has had extended stays in Italy, Japan, India, and New Mexico, which have all inspired his work. Song has exhibited many times at ArtX Contemporary in Seattle, Washington, as well as throughout the Pacific Northwest.
