ARTIST STATEMENT:
I have never been particularly outspoken, but I am becoming a bit more so as decisions out of my control are directly affecting me. I am trying to be gentle with myself as I move through these days. I'm not interested in arguing with anyone, and in a lot of ways I have shut down, which makes it difficult for me to focus on my larger artwork. I am reaching for that which is comfortable for me, and I can say my peace through my beadwork. Distilling my words down to exactly how I'm feeling helps, and with the Resist Statement Bangle I feel that I'm standing with many others from the safety of my studio.

TECHNIQUE:
Beadweaving Peyote Stitch.

MATERIALS:
Glass seed beads, Nymo thread.
