Whispers in the Light by Helenann Pappas

In this piece, the invisible is not merely shown, it is felt. Through abstraction and intuitive mark-making, the artist channels the subtle energies of transition, memory, and hope — offering the viewer not answers, but space to enter their own inner stillness.

Whispers in the Light

Acrylic and Mixed Media on cradleboard in a floating frame

18 x 18 x 1.5 in

Invites the viewer into a liminal world — a space where light becomes language and texture becomes memory. Layer upon layer of translucent color suggests shifting skies, unseen landscapes, or distant reflections remembered through feeling rather than form.

Hints of golden warmth emerge through stormy blues and soft, weathered pastels, as if the painting itself is breathing — inhaling the unseen and exhaling quiet revelations. This work is less a place than a presence: it embodies the in-between, where emotion and atmosphere meet. It is a meditation on what cannot be captured in words — the fleeting moment of recognition when something once hidden reveals itself.
