Clocks have always had a metaphorical potency in literature and art. They evoke thoughts of time and meaning of life and mortality. This series seeks to explore the visual and metaphorical landscape of time-keeping devices. The choice of various clocks, some ornately decorated, others simple in design is meant to open up the viewers senses to the multiplicity of ways in which poets, philosophers, craftsman and historians have thought about time and its meaning for centuries.
