About the artist

Dot Kibbee

Dot Kibbee was born in Worcester, MA in 1916, and went to nursing school in New Hampshire. She spent most of her life in Hardwick, VT, where she was a community nurse or many years. Her style of painting is unique and features heavily patterned renderings of imaginary landscapes inhabited by snakes, butterflies, turtles, and tiny people. Her artwork is in many private collections and has been exhibited throughout the region as well as nationally and internationally.
