About the artist

Susan Carol Tyler

I started painting at age 8. Influenced by grandmother Mary Tyler, I was hooked. Attended Sam Houston University, majored in Art. Life interrupted my plans, there were two small boys to raise.
Years later, she has been able to embrace her art career. Opening her own gallery in Galveston.
Oil has always been her favorite medium. I am influenced by Sarolla, Sargent, Zorn, Levin, and many modern day artists: Aschen, Backhaus and Handel to name a few.

Wanting to devote her full attention to her painting, she now maintains her studio in Centerville Texas. She shows her work in the greater Houston area.
