I enjoy cycling in Downtown Victoria and often stop to observinteracting. The paradoxes happening contemporaneous even on a small street corner disturb and fascinate me. There is madness, rage and isolation, yet stillness, kindness and connection can be present as well. “Downtown” is part of my “Urban Movement” series reflecting on the injustices of our economic system which causes daily suffering manifested in addiction, mental illness, isolation and homelessness in a rich society that puts the me before the we.
