About the artist

Meaza Nigatu

I Strongly believe that we all have a purpose in the world and my purpose is to use my art as an avenue to reach out and inspire. I was born and raised in Africa, but growing up in the United States has given me my own personal experience of life in two separate continents.



Understanding the reasons behind the dramatic difference between these two places has influenced my art. My work embodies my utopian dream of an Africa that works together to prosper. My paintings are 3D constructions that express the idea of unity through shapes, colors, patterns and designs gleaned from different African cultures.
