About the artist

Elizabeth Barton

Elizabeth Barton was born in York, England and educated in England and the US. Whilst working in the health service at the University of Georgia, she began to make quilts, focusing on Art Quilts with the encouragement of an NEA grant and acceptance into renowned Quilt National art show. Since, she has received awards, grants, and residencies, been acquired into collections and exhibited in juried and curated shows around the US with a solo exhibition at the Athens Regional Public Library in 2018.
