About the artist

Henry Blackmon

Henry Blackmon is a native Atlantan who received his undergraduate degree in Fine Arts from Morris Brown College and an art education degree at Georgia State University. For the past 24 years, he has served as an art teacher in both Dekalb and Atlanta Public Schools becoming teacher of the year in 2011. He has exhibited in GA and AL, including a solo exhibition at the GA State Capital in Atlanta.
