This is the beginning of a purer form of abstraction. There are no more references to specific vistas. The land/waterscape is reduced to two textured luminous fields. This work is part of a series of intimate oils, abstracted vistas of nature, distilled to their essence ,' and rendered in luminous color by textural brush. Each scape (land, sea, sky) first draws the viewer into an unknown· yet somehow familiar place of solitude and quiescence.
