Tom Jackson is a full-time artist based in Northeast Ohio where he creates large-scale paintings known for their bold color, architectural detail, and dramatic shadows. After earning a BFA in Drawing and Painting from the University of Akron in 1972, he spent forty years in aviation—serving as a U.S. Air Force pilot and later as a Boeing 747 captain—while nurturing his passion for art through makeshift studios wherever he was stationed. Influenced by early work as an apprentice draftsman and decades of disciplined observation, Jackson now paints with precision and scale, earning recognition in juried exhibitions.
