As a Professor of Art at Edinboro University, it can be said that Malcolm Christhilf is a master of two-dimensional design. Having studied in the west coast, Christhilf familiarized himself with many kinds of drawing and painting techniques, reaching to all ends of the color spectrum to create vivid landscapes. Creating his works using direct observation, he was able paint what he saw as fresh and authentically as possible. He hopes that the colors used capture an immediate moment in time. Since 1993, he has taught painting and drawing at Edinboro and sits on graduate committees dedicated to those subjects.
