Every morning I hike through the soaring trees on the back hill at my ranch and admire the ponderosa trees. Ponderosa trees have a reddish tint to them and they appear to change colors as the dappled sunlight changes throughout the day. Noon is my favorite time to visit this hill when the sharp sun casts linear shadows across the hill. I find the trees to be very therapeutic. If I’m having a bad day I often visit this hillside to find peace. The exaggerated colors capture the healing energy of this forest. This acrylic painting is 3X5ft and the painting continues onto all edges of the piece so it can be enjoyed from every view.
