Isaiah 44:3 For I will pour water on the thirsty land, and streams on the dry ground; I will pour out my Spirit on your offspring, and my blessing on your descendants.

Fresh water is necessary for life and without it, nothing can live. Life can be like a dry desert wilderness full of trouble, loss and trials. However, Jesus said he is the Living Water, able to supply all that we need if we have faith in him. "Quenched" is a reminder to remember the source of life and know that it's not just for me, but for my family.

Building from the bottom, I used slate, black tourmaline, smokey quartz, and orange crocoite, realgar, copper and citrine to simulate coals and flames. This piece started with the driftwood that looked like a sluice for water. Lines of smoke in kyanite, hematite, glass and stone smalti, with sparks of carnelian move upward. Slag glass in blue, moonstone and crystal points represent the living water that restores.
