The cicada holds special significance for everyone, as this year marked the rare double brood emergence in the summer of 2024. I painted in a messy style, with drippy paint in the background to represent the blurred effect of the surrounding trees. Through dynamic strokes and vibrant hues, I aimed to capture the unique energy and essence of this rare event, celebrating nature's extraordinary moments in an expressive, vivid style.
