Gathering, Marine Antiquities
1 public edition
Maritime Antiquities is a rendition of the Sylvania W. Beal, resting on her side at low tide, waiting for reconstruction. In the background are work sheds, while the foreground features a replica of an early American schooner known as a Chebacco boat.
Sylvina W. Bill is an early 20th-century schooner towed by boat builder Harold Burnham from Downeast Maine to Essex, MA. It is presently cradled by the tidal creek at the Ship Building Museum in Essex, Massachusetts. She is waiting to be rebuilt so she can sail into the next century.
