The fishing vessel "Taut Line" is in its winter home at the back of Perkins Cove in Ogunquit, Maine, deep in a snow drift. The Woodbury Studio is in the background as evening descends.

Cove Drift and Midnight Drift are part of the same edition, simultaneously printed from the same block. Ten of the reduction woodcuts are limited to four colors, and they are called Midnight Drift.
