About the artist

Charles Rogers

American

1911-1987

A painter and art educator, Charles B Rogers was known for his airy landscapes of the American West, often with pastel hues executed in oil. He was born in Great Bend, Kansas, and studied at the National Academy of Design; Bethany College in Lindsborg, Kansas; the California College of Arts and Crafts; and with Dong Kingman and Jay Connaway.
