There was no plan when this began. Just paint, and the willingness to see where it went.

She emerged from that - a figure mid-suspension, eyes closed, face tilted as though hearing something the rest of the room can't. The background isn't darkness so much as depth; navy and teal and that particular bruised purple that lives between midnight and meaning. Gold runs through her hair like light that decided to stay. Small star-marks float around her - not a map she can read, just evidence of a larger space she's temporarily inhabiting.

The circular canvas is deliberate in what it refuses. No floor. No horizon. Just her, held in the in-between - that messy, necessary middle ground where one version of yourself has already gone and the next hasn't arrived yet. Most people know this place. Few think to stop and rest in it.
