Setting Anchor at Sunset, on 140lb watercolor paper. This is a delicate watercolor painting depicting a peaceful coastal or marshland scene. A tall sailboat with white sails and a flag at the top of its mast is anchored in calm, reflective waters, surrounded by golden-brown marsh grasses and low-lying wetlands. The sky is rendered in soft washes of pink, lavender, and pale blue, suggesting either a sunrise or sunset, with a flock of birds soaring in the distance. A smaller sailboat is faintly visible on the horizon, adding depth to the composition. The overall palette is warm and muted, with the loose, fluid brushwork characteristic of watercolor giving the scene a tranquil, impressionistic quality.
