Irish Wolfhound oil on wood panel. This is a beautifully expressive painted portrait of an Irish Wolfhound or Scottish Deerhound — rendered in a loose, impressionistic style. The dog's coat is depicted in flowing strokes of gray, black, and white, with warm golden-tan tones around the muzzle, giving it a distinguished, windswept appearance. Its dark, soulful eyes gaze directly at the viewer with a gentle, contemplative expression. The background is a textured blend of olive green and earthy gold tones, which complement the cool gray of the dog's fur beautifully. The painting is signed in the lower left corner by the artist, D.C. Whited, and the overall composition feels both intimate and striking.
