This work by Dan is a small section from the much larger "DaVinci's Lounge" mural which is 8'x72' in Austin's Entertainment District at at the 19th century historic St. Charles Hotel building, now home to award winning Roppolo's Pizza at 316 E. 6th Street. This scene represents the building history for several years in the nineteenth century when it was a "house of ill-repute" populated by sex workers. This represents an erotic personal moment between two of the ladies of the night who resided and worked there at the time, done in a gravure style reminescent of the 1800s newsprint etchings. It honors the LGBTQ community with an image of interpersonal erotic tenderness between friends in sisterhood. Detail of main print area.
