Damon Hamm's one of a kind "Symphony" arrests the viewer with its intricate interplay of form and void, crafted with an expertise that transforms hard steel into a seemingly organic tableau. The sculpture's surface is treated with a version of Anish Kapoor’s renowned Vantablack pigment, which absorbs 99.96% of visible light, creating an abyss-like depth that challenges the eye. This innovative material casts each curve and crevice into stark relief, as the intense darkness of the pigment flattens the dimensionality, combining with the shadows it casts.

As one moves around the piece, the sculpture almost appears to move with a life of its own due to the parallax effect, where the relative positions of the steel elements seem to shift against one another, offering a new perspective and experience from every angle. The ultra black pigment amplifies this sensation, drawing the viewer into a contemplative engagement with the art, as if the wall itself opens into another dimension, one that whispers of the infinite.
